Sunset in Venice, Italy on the Grand Canal
One the most unique and romantic cities in the world, Venice,Italy. This photograph is looking west as the sun sets over the Grand Canal with a great view of the classical Venetian boat, the gondola. As you can see, the gondolas are docked in the harbor showing their ornate appearance for tourists. The hotels and restaurants are
beginning to light up for the evening. Just behind me is the Ponte di Rialto (the oldest bridge across the canal).
I took this photograph on a typical April night. What wasn’t typical was getting lost on my way back to my hotel for an hour and a half! But I learned a lesson. Always remember what Piazza your hotel is located in because street addresses on maps are worthless
